Meet Judge Christine Cody - MAGA Enabler, Thinks She Deserves Three Pensions and A Lavish Lifestyle Funded By You

If you live in Naperville, Downers Grove, Woodridge or Lisle and are voting in the March 2024 Democratic Primary, you have a choice for Judge.

Candidate 1:  Voted in GOP Primaries until 2018, has made close to $1000 of campaign contributions to Illinois Republican (MAGA) Judges re-election efforts.  And wants you - the taxpayer - to fund a lavish lifestyle AND retirement to the tune of $432,000.00 a year.  You read that right, one candidate thinks that you - the taxpayer - should pay close to half-a-millon dollars a year in salary to one household in DuPage County.  She's already in line for a cushy retirement with two pensions in her household.  Now, she's desperate for a third.  Can you say: "Winters at Mar-A-Lago"??

Candidate 2:  Current, sitting DuPage County Circuit Court Judge who was vetted and appointed by a unanimous (bi-partisan) vote of the Illinois Supreme Court.  Is "Highly Recommended" to serve as Judge by the DuPage County Bar Association, has more than 20 years of extensive trial experience including a proven track record of assisting the LGBTQIA+ community in family law matters.  Education includes an undergraduate and law degree for the University of Illinois in Champaign and has raised a family with three kids who she sent though Naperville public schools. 

The choice is clear, isn't it?  We can't afford Candidate 1.

Candidate 1 is Christine Cody (Orel).  She's running for Subcircuit 3 in the March Democrat Primary.  But, here's the thing.  She's not a Democrat.  She's an opportunist and a hog at the trough of taxpayer money.  She won't say the thing that we all know:  She's a MAGA enabler and only running in the Democratic Primary because she knows that the winner will cruise to victory in the General Election in the Fall.  

She's trying to hide her MAGA Republican past, but unfortunately for her, campaign contributions are public information.  Why would a DuPage Democrat write these checks?

That's because she's not a Democrat.  She's a MAGA enabler.   We don't need more MAGA extremeists on the bench.  Especially in DuPage County.

But...it gets worse for Judicial Candidate Christine Cody.

She wants THREE fat-cat pensions to fund a lavish lifestyle and cushy retirement.  All paid for by you - the taxpayer.  Yep, you read that right:  THREE PENSIONS.  ONE HOUSEHOLD.

She's already getting one from her time as a state's attorney/prosecutor.  The taxpayers are going to write her a check every month.  

But, guess what?  She's married to a current, DuPage County Judge:  Associate Judge James Orel.

What does her husband, Judge Orel pull down?  Oh...just $216,000 a year.  Plus a fat-cat pension.  

Now, Christine Cody wants to double their luck.  Imagine that:  One household pulling in $432,000 a year and working like 150 days a year.  Then, imagine how they'll get paid for the rest of their life - by us, the taxpayers.

$432,000 a year.  That's "Hog" behavior, isn't it?  One $200K-plus taxpayer-funded salary and two retirement pensions aren't enough for her.  She wants to double it!  

Compare that to the median household income in DuPage County.  That's $107.035 per year - per the Census.  

$432k for her.

$107K for us.

What does that $432K salary and pension buy Christine Cody?  Things like...A retirement that includes "wintering" with her friends down at Mar-A-Lago.  All funded by us - the taxpayers.

DuPage Democrats:  We Can't Let This Happen.

There's a better choice.  Candidate 2.
